Job summary

Shaner Hotels seeks a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer for the Fairfield Inn & Suites DuBois in DuBois, PA. You will oversee engineering operations, coordinate preventive maintenance, and manage safety and compliance across mechanical systems.

Lead, train, and supervise the engineering staff while ensuring building codes and health standards are met. A strong background in mechanical systems and safety procedures is essential for delivering guest comfort and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training is a plus.
• Any building trade license/certificate from the state of operation preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management and co-workers clearly.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a hotel maintenance engineer; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of Engineering department operations and maintenance.
• Develop and monitor a maintenance program for safety and comfort.
• Supervise, train and manage all Engineering staff.
• Ensure safety equipment compliance and inspections.
• Handle chemicals per hotel requirements.
