Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer for Hershey-area properties, overseeing all engineering operations and preventative maintenance for multiple hotel brands. You will supervise the engineering team, manage budgets, and ensure safety and compliance with codes and standards at the Hershey, PA locations.

The ideal candidate will have prior hotel maintenance leadership, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with guests, management and colleagues.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience as hotel maintenance engineer with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering operations, preventive maintenance and repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.
• Develop and manage annual engineering budget and supervise staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and hotel standards; chair Safety Committee.
