Job summary

Shaner Hotels in Hershey, PA, seeks a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to keep our Hampton Inn Hershey Near the Park safe, comfortable, and fully operational for guests. You will maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems, perform general building repairs, respond promptly to guest requests, and follow safety procedures.

This full‑time position requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Hotel maintenance experience preferred, with hands‑on work in guest areas.
• Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, and building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize work and provide excellent customer service.
• Read and follow safety and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain commercial refrigeration, ice machines, air handling units, and HVAC equipment.
• Complete general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and help ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Follow maintenance schedules and safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
