Job summary

Element Chandler Fashion Center is seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee all maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel. This role ensures safety and comfort for guests and associates while maintaining the property to Marriott brand standards.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience managing building systems, and a commitment to preventive maintenance. Marriott experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of building equipment and systems.
Experience supervising a maintenance/engineering team.

Responsibilities

Oversee all hotel maintenance and engineering operations.
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
Lead, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members.
Implement and manage a preventative maintenance program.
Ensure guestrooms, public areas, meeting space, and back-of-house areas are maintained to brand standards.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations as needed.
Coordinate repairs and projects with vendors and contractors.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and hotel policies.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, equipment logs, and inspections.
Monitor property condition and identify opportunities for improvement.
