Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is hiring a Chief Engineer at the Hilton Garden Inn Plymouth to lead maintenance and life safety programs, supervise staff, and ensure brand standards are met. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, guest satisfaction, and collaboration with other departments to resolve issues.

The Chief Engineer will oversee capital projects, safety training, and daily operations, with a focus on a safe, efficient, and guest-friendly environment across one of our hotel properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a maintenance leadership role, preferably in hotels.
• Post-high school education in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines preferred.
• Certified pool operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure preventive maintenance programs meet brand standards for equipment and safety.
• Lead maintenance team; supervise hiring, coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate capital projects and manage work orders with timely execution.
• Monitor pool/spa maintenance per health and brand standards.
• Assist other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues.
• Maintain grounds and building exteriors; ensure safety protocols are followed.
