Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Chief Engineer to lead maintenance for hospitality properties across our portfolio. The ideal candidate will drive proactive maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate capital projects while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will manage maintenance teams, collaborate with departments, and mentor staff to uphold brand standards and service excellence. A strong background in hotel maintenance and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School education; post-high school preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years in maintenance leadership, preferably in hotels.
• Two (2) years of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines preferred.
• Certified pool operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proactive preventative maintenance per brand standards on systems and equipment.
• Follow safe working practices and maintain cleanliness.
• Inspect guest rooms after maintenance and report issues.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Manage work orders and prioritize tasks to resolve deficiencies.
• Oversee pool and spa maintenance per standards and health regulations.
• Maintain hotel grounds and exterior appearance.
• Assist other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve concerns.
• Coordinate and supervise contracted capital projects.
• Educate staff on emergency procedures and safety.
• Hire, coach, and discipline staff.
• Conduct regular property walk-throughs to identify and fix deficiencies.
