Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of continuous law enforcement related experience with at least two years as a lead supervisor OR completion of GEO’s Supervision Training Course.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• State Firearms License required.
• Personal sidearm meeting company standards with Level III retention holster.
• State Security Guard License required.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Ability to handle mental and physical stress.
• Proficiency with department software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise detainees in hospital settings and maintain custody at all times.
• Follow restraint protocols per Medical Guarding Procedures.
• Ensure restraints do not hinder medical procedures or detainee safety.
• Maintain visibility of detainee by appropriate positioning.
• Restrict outside visitors unless contractually required.
• Limit detainee phone calls unless contract permits.
• Complete and file all required paperwork with Transportation Supervisor.
• Maintain duty log and report unusual events promptly.
• Ensure detainees are properly secured before leaving the hospital.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
