Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Hospital Officer to supervise detainees in hospital settings, ensuring custody and safety in accordance with established procedures.

You will apply restraint protocols, maintain sight of detainees, and document all activities in duty logs, while complying with contract requirements and security policies. This role requires field readiness, overtime flexibility, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state employment requisites as applicable.
• Three years of continuous law enforcement related experience with at least two years as a lead supervisor or GEO supervision training.
• Must be at least 21 years old and possess required licenses (Firearms, Security Guard) and certifications.
• Must complete GEO supervision training or have prior GEO supervisor experience.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel for extended periods.
• Ability to work under stress and manage detainee safety, including communications and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise detainees in a hospital setting and maintain custody and control at all times.
• Follow medical guard procedures and restraint protocols.
• Ensure detainees are not allowed outside visitors or phone calls unless contractually required.
• Complete paperwork and duty logs, reporting findings to the Transportation Supervisor.
• Maintain safety compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
