Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Hospital Officer to supervise detainees in a hospital setting and ensure custody and safety at all times. The role requires adherence to restraint protocols and careful monitoring of detainee well-being while coordinating with hospital staff.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, supervisory experience or GEO training, and active state firearms and security guard licenses. Willingness to travel and work extended shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Two years of supervisory experience or GEO supervision training.
• Must be 21 or older.
• State firearms license required.
• Security guard license required.
• Training in Corrections/Law Enforcement/Military or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise detainees in hospital settings and maintain custody at all times.
• Follow restraint protocols and ensure medical procedures are not hindered by restraints.
• Ensure detainees are not allowed outside visitors or phone calls unless contract requires.
• Complete duty logs and reports accurately and promptly.
• Report unusual events to Transportation Supervisor.
