Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Heart of Hospice in Lafayette, LA seeks a Clinical Director to assist the Executive Director in clinical oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee patient care, and enhance profitability while maintaining high-quality care.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with hospice physicians and community providers, ensure plans of care are followed, oversee billing accuracy, and lead quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and governance activities.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice (LA).
• CPR certification required.
• Driver’s license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with hospice regulations and billing standards.
• Direct day-to-day clinical operations and staff training.
• Supervise patient care activities to meet professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Promote hospice education to referral sources and the community.
• Collaborate with physicians to drive clinical excellence in end-of-life care.
• Ensure plans of care are followed as ordered by the physician.
• Oversee staff evaluations, recruitment, and staff development.
• Lead quality assurance and process-improvement initiatives.
