Job summary

Saint Mary's Hospice, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, seeks a Clinical Director to assist the Executive Director in clinical oversight of hospice services and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee patient care, supervise staff, and work with hospice and community physicians to drive clinical excellence while ensuring cost-effective operations and high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current Driver’s License and vehicle insurance, with access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years of hospice/healthcare leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, laws, policies and procedures, including Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, training and orientation, regulatory compliance, and staff education.
• Direct patient care activities to ensure plans of care and standards are met.
• Promote hospice education to referral sources and the community at large.
• Collaborate with hospice physicians and community physicians to drive clinical excellence.
• Monitor staffing, recruitment and retention to ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee clinical and quality improvement initiatives and cost management.
• Investigate patient complaints and sentinel events and enforce infection control practices.
