Job summary

Boston Medical Center, Corp. is seeking a Histotechnologist II in the Pathology Lab - MP to perform a wide range of histology and immunohistochemistry tasks for diagnostic testing. The role involves tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and quality control under supervision.

The ideal candidate has strong histology skills, familiarity with CoPath software, and a history of working with surgical specimens. This is a full-time on-site position in Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• HT(ASCP)/HTL(ASCP) certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in pathology lab handling embedding, microtomy and staining.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special paraffin sections for microscopic examination.
• Prepare equipment for processing, embedding, cutting, and mounting tissue.
• Perform IHC and special staining; mount tissue sections.
• Provide technical guidance to laboratory personnel as required.
• Maintain logs and prepare regular reports on procedures.
• Train other histology technicians on procedures and equipment.
