Job summary

CHI Health Midlands in Nebraska seeks an HIM Specialist Sr to maintain the integrity of patient health records across the medical record lifecycle in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will ensure HIPAA compliance and support providers and ROI requests.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of HIM experience, familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft Office, and ideally an associate degree in a health-related field with RHIT/RRHIA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of Health Information Management experience in an acute care setting or progress toward RHIT/RHIA.
• Experience with EMR systems and HIM applications required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity, accuracy, and availability of patient health records throughout the chart lifecycle.
• Support release of information (ROI) requests and data quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards while meeting productivity standards.
