Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Lead HIL/SIL Test Engineer to lead software test automation and coordinate with an offshore team in India. The role focuses on HIL/SIL testing, test automation, mentoring, requirements coordination, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in HIL/SIL testing or embedded control systems testing.
• Strong experience developing test scripts using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Opal-RT and dSPACE for HIL testing.
• Experience with CAN/J1939 and other data-link protocols.
• Understanding of V&V concepts: functional, performance, regression, boundary, positive/negative testing.
• Ability to read hardware schematics for I/O and communication port connections.
• Experience in off-highway machinery, automotive, or industrial controls using SIL/HIL.
