7Th Sky Tech is seeking a Software Engineer – SIL/HIL to join our engineering team in Charlotte. The role focuses on developing, integrating, testing, and validating embedded software in SIL and HIL environments.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of experience in embedded software testing, strong C/C++ and Python skills, and a solid understanding of verification processes. Hybrid work and full-time employment are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing for embedded systems.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, with MATLAB/Simulink preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SIL and HIL test environments for embedded software validation.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and scenarios.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development is preferred.
• Understanding of SIL, HIL, MIL, software integration, and automated testing concepts.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting.
• Good knowledge of software development and testing methodologies.
• Experience with debugging tools and log analysis.
• Familiarity with version-control systems such as Git.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, robotics, or other embedded systems.
• Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, or other communication protocols.
• Experience with tools such as dSPACE, NI, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, ETAS, or similar HIL/SIL platforms.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR and automotive embedded software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, CI/CD, Jira, and requirements/test-management tools.
• Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 is a plus.
