DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION in Phoenix seeks a Highway Operations Technician 4 to lead field crews and perform high-level highway duties for a safe, efficient system. The role requires ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to drive an ADOT vehicle with overnight travel.

The position offers a salary of $51,760.70 to $56,760.70, with an annual closing date of Oct 8, 2026. Internal ADOT candidates only. Daily responsibilities include oversight, training, and strategic task coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway operations, maintenance, and safety practices.
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities.
• Experience using Pecos reporting and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and train others on motorized equipment and tools used on highway operations.
• Oversee work performed by crew and document status in records and Pecos.
• Coordinate resources, scheduling, and contracted services for efficient work.
