Job summary

The Arizona Department of Transportation in Superior seeks a Highway Operations Technician 4 to perform high-level highway operations, provide technical guidance, and support day-to-day activities to maintain a safe transportation system for the traveling public. The role requires availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including emergencies.

A class A CDL with Tanker N endorsement is required at appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience with highway operations and safety practices.
• Familiarity with Pecos reporting and public relations requirements.
• CDL with Tanker N endorsement required at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and train others on heavy equipment used in highway maintenance.
• Coordinate resources and scheduling of work activities; support annual work plan.
• Enter crew cards into Pecos work program and track unit boundaries.
• Maintain preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment; document status.
• Respond to emergencies and work non-standard hours as needed.
