Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and tanker endorsements within 60 days.
• Preferred: experience in operating heavy equipment.
• Other: CDL with tanker endorsement required within 90 days; in-house CDL training may be provided.
• Must be able to report for snow and other highway emergencies within 40 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and light equipment to maintain highways, shoulders, and roadside areas.
• Mow right-of-ways and maintain roadsides using power mowers and attachments.
• Move and place signs, fences, and guardrails; perform minor repairs and inspections on equipment.
• Control traffic around projects and follow safety procedures; assist in snow removal as needed.
• Attend to emergencies, respond to weather events, and perform related duties.
