Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required; Class A CDL must be obtained within six months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction, repair, and preservation activities of roads and bridges within a county.
• Record work in the HMMS maintenance data management system; assist crew foreman as needed.
• Operate medium or heavy equipment such as backhoe, dozer, and dump trucks.
• Assist with safety training, flagging, and proper use of safety equipment.
• Set up and control traffic zones per the Work Zone Traffic Control Manual.
• Assist in scheduling work for the maintenance crew and monitor equipment maintenance.
