C Crow Wing County is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to operate heavy highway maintenance equipment and perform related manual tasks. The role includes road repair, snow plowing, patching, and equipment servicing while maintaining accurate time and material records.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Class B CDL with ability to obtain Class A within 6 months, Air Brake and Tanker endorsements, and a DOT Health Card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Four or more years experience in related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Class B CDL and ability to obtain State Issued CDL Class A driver's license within 6 months.
• Air Brake endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• DOT Health Card required.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment such as motor graders, dozers, backhoes/loaders, loaders, skid steers and trucks for highway repair and maintenance at a professional level.
• Perform blading, road surface and shoulder smoothing, bituminous patching, snow plowing and hauling.
• Perform servicing, field maintenance, preservation and running repairs on equipment.
• Assist with shop mechanical duties for major repairs of equipment.
• Perform timekeeping and documentation of labor, materials and resources.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and the public.
