Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a Working Supervisor Crew Foreman to lead a county Work Request crew in the maintenance, repair, and preservation of roads and bridges on the state highway system. You will supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers and operate heavy equipment as needed.

Responsibilities include devising daily work schedules, assigning tasks, ensuring safety and traffic control per SCMUTCD standards, maintaining records, and coordinating with crews

Qualifications

• Three and one-half years related work experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL Class A must be obtained within six months of placement.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a county Work Request crew in maintenance, repair, and preservation of roads and bridges.
