Job summary

VHB is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer or Highway Project Manager for our Orlando or Tampa offices in a hybrid role. You will lead highway design, drainage, traffic management, and cost estimating while coordinating with municipalities, state agencies, and private partners.

Growth opportunities are emphasized in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate brings extensive Florida transportation experience, FDOT knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, transportation planning or similar discipline.
• 11+ years of professional transportation engineering experience, with at least 8 years in Florida FDOT projects.
• Florida PE license required.
• Experience with roadway design concepts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager/Senior Engineer for state and local clients.
• Coordinate roadway design with drainage, utilities, structures, traffic, and environmental disciplines.
• Lead design through Concept to Final Design and Construction Administration.
• Prepare and review models, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
