Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior Roadway/Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead highway design and manage teams in Florida. The role emphasizes FDOT project execution, client relations, and new work development within a collaborative engineering group.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of highway/roadway experience, a Florida PE, and strong leadership and communication skills. Hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• 10+ years as a Transportation/Roadway Engineer/Project Manager.
• Florida Professional Engineers License (PE).
• Self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and proactive, takes ownership of work.
• Proficient with MS Office and Bentley software listed above.

Responsabilités

• Manage existing transportation staff and transportation projects.
• Recruit key talent aligned with company culture.
• Build and implement sales/marketing initiatives for growth of transportation design services.
• Build backlog by pursuing and winning work as prime and subconsultant.
• Manage client communications, expectations, and satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
• Lead/assist with coordination, development, and production of proposals and presentations, ensuring high-quality output.
