Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the Orlando or Tampa area seeks a Senior Highway Project Manager to lead project teams, plan, direct, and control highway projects, manage budgets and schedules, and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.

You will mentor staff, oversee subconsultants, monitor performance, report progress to senior management, and support business development and client management in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 12 years of experience in project production and technical activities, with 4 years as a Project Manager
• Experience with FDOT District local to the area required
• PE License in Florida

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams using technical and project management skills.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control project tasks, including financial management and marketing support.
• Mentor and train team members; supervise staff and design professionals.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors and draft service agreements.
• Prepare and share project plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets with the team.
• Track project progress, costs, and expenses; report to senior management.
• Oversee subconsultant progress; approve invoices and resolve payment issues.
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in project presentations.
