Job summary

H&H Transportation Engineer opportunity in Florida (Tampa, Fort Lauderdale or Orlando) to join our team. The successful candidate will manage highway design tasks from concept through final construction plans, applying sound engineering judgement and taking initiative on challenging projects.

This role emphasizes mentorship, effective communication with clients and agencies, and delivering designs that meet project requirements while maintaining schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of highway design experience.
• PE license desired or must be obtained within six months.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads design software.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.

Responsibilities

• Utilize 3D design to prepare roadway, drainage and TTC designs, calculations and drawings.
• Propose innovative design solutions to design problems.
• Prepare engineering reports.
• Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers.
• Serve as the Engineer-of-Record.
• Responsible for task management.
• Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies.
• Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties.
• Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and positive behaviors.
