AMP The Woodlands Corporate Office seeks an experienced High Voltage (HV) Technician to support field power generation operations at mission critical data center sites. You will operate, inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission medium voltage systems, including 13.8 kV delta to 34.5 kV grounded wye transformers and associated switchgear.

Role requires switching, verification of absence of voltage, LOTO compliance, and coordination with Operations, Engineering, and OEM/vendor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; electrical trade training preferred.
• Typically 5+ years in industrial/power generation experience; data center or mission-critical power preferred.
• Experience with 13.8 kV and 34.5 kV transformer systems and OLTC is highly preferred.
• Electrical license/certifications (NICET, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269) and safety training required.
• Willingness to rotate schedules, travel frequently, and perform on-call duties.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain AMP transformers and HV distribution systems at data center sites.
• Perform switching, isolation, LOTO, and return-to-service activities per procedures.
• Conduct inspections for leaks, temperature, insulation, and grounding integrity.
• Troubleshoot faults using drawings, schematics, and test equipment; coordinate with teams.
• Assist with commissioning, energization, and startup of new sites; review test results.
