Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Sr. Field Tech for power systems to perform testing, startup, and maintenance of high voltage equipment across substations. The role requires hands-on experience with HV switchgear, breakers, transformers, and related controls.

You will ensure safety compliance and timely data reporting in a client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma, 1+ year in a related field, knowledge of NEC/NETA/OSHA/NFPA standards, and the ability to work with Doble

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required with 1+ year in a related field.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards preferred.
• Experience with testing, commissioning and troubleshooting HV substations (69kV–345kV).
• Ability to work safely and follow lockout/tagout and arc-flash procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and data collection for HV systems up to 765kV.
• Switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
• Inspect and test transformers (45 KVA to 1,120 MVA) and related equipment.
• Familiarity with SF6 gas insulated switchgear and related components.
• Operate high voltage test equipment (Doble M4000 series).
• Commissioning and troubleshooting of controls and transfer schemes.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory electrical safety requirements.
• Support Field Techs and project leaders as needed.
