Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Technician to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair HV/LV power distribution equipment across field and service center operations.

You will read drawings, work safely under rules, and travel domestically and internationally to service client sites while meeting performance and safety standards. Five years HV experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of high and/or medium voltage experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Refineries/government site protocols and requirements to enter and perform work.
• Experience with HV test equipment preferred.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally and current or ability to obtain a Passport.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Respond to major component failure escalations.
• Carry out major component changes and field repairs.
• Carry out advanced troubleshooting of electrical LV or HV systems.
• Provide hands on electrical support.
• Ensure the completion of major repairs on time, to standard and within budgets.
• Read and work from drawings and specifications, including blueprints and schematics.
• Locate and repair defects in electrical systems.
• Review accuracy of reports.
• Comply with all electrical practices.
• Work under pressure to handle multiple tasks.
• Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and efficiencies.
