Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Huntersville, NC seeks a Senior Engineer - High Voltage Field Engineering to join a growing HV team. This role combines electrical engineering with hands-on field operations, supporting installation, commissioning and delivery of complex power systems.

The engineer serves as the onsite technical resource, troubleshooting, reviewing plans, and coordinating with installation technicians, project managers and R&D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering with significant field operations/field engineering experience.
• Experience with power delivery, electrical infrastructure, transmission, substations, or HV systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for installation, testing, commissioning, and field execution of electrical and high-voltage systems.
• Serve as onsite technical resource; troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and make real-time decisions.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations and other engineering documentation.
• Use AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to review or support system designs.
• Travel domestically approximately 30% to support project installations and commissioning.
• Interface with customers and project stakeholders as a knowledgeable technical representative.
