Job summary

Analog Devices, Durham, NC, seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer to own high-speed interface bring-up, validation, and product readiness across complex mixed-signal ICs. You will lead qualification and characterization, partnering with design, test, and applications teams to ensure robust performance from first silicon through release.

The role requires guiding junior engineers and driving lab automation to improve throughput and quality, with cross-functional impact on multiple product

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in high-speed interface validation or mixed-signal product development.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership.
  • Experience with FPGA-based validation platforms and embedded software/firmware workflows.
  • Ability to lead qualification programs and define test conditions.
  • Proven ability to improve validation throughput and reliability.
  • Excellent lab skills: eye diagrams, jitter, BER, signal integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Interface bring-up, validation, and release readiness across boards and lab setups.
  • Plan and execute qualification for interface-related requirements.
  • Characterize interfaces across PVT and configuration space; define operating limits.
  • Perform signal integrity and protocol debugging with closure plans.
  • Correlate bench data to simulation and support production/test yields.
  • Develop validation frameworks using Python/MATLAB and automation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with design/test/apps teams.
  • Communicate risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
