Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a Solutions Architect to lead customer programs from ideation through volume production within the Cable Backplane Business Unit. This role demands strong technical leadership and collaboration with OEMs across global sites.

You will drive system-level requirements, translate customer needs into technical specifications, and mentor engineers while coordinating with Program Managers and Product Line Managers to deliver robust CBS solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) desirable.
Minimum of 10 years providing technical guidance on interconnect solutions.
Deep knowledge of interconnect solutions and system architecture support.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and technical strategy for customer solutions involving CBS.
Define system-level requirements for high-speed signal integrity and thermal performance.
Develop specifications, schematics, and proof-of-concept models for cable backplanes.
Serve as primary contact between OEMs and cable backplane team.
Mentor junior engineers and lead CBS front-end engineering.
Collaborate across Business Units to ensure seamless CBS integration.
Prepare presentations for executives and key stakeholders.
