Qualifications

• Master's degree required and three years of Special Education teaching preferred.
• Principal Certificate preferred and Special Education Teaching Certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common educational, federal, state, and local laws, as well as documents related to SPED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates high school special education services and supports to meet IEP goals.
• Delivers professional development and appraisal for SPED staff.
• Schedules ARDs and counsels with parents of SPED students.
• Collaborates with general education staff and counselors on graduation plans.
• Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Supervises SPED staff across assigned campuses.
