Job summary

Hines is seeking a Senior Community Manager to oversee daily property operations, lead a on-site team, and drive financial and operational performance for a multifamily property in North America.

You will manage budgets, rent collection, vendor approvals, and maintenance coordination while ensuring compliance with company policies and high standards. This role demands strong leadership, customer service, and on-site availability 24/7 when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Five or more years' experience as a residential community/property manager or leadership role in related industry.
• Experience managing 400+ units, single, or combined sites.
• Experience with more complex and/or mixed-use properties a plus.
• Experience with property management software preferred; Entrata experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software in order to complete required reports.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be accessible 24 hours a day in case of an emergency and perform on-site operations management during natural disasters.
• Transfer properties and work overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and support to team members, ensuring each role has the tools and resources to meet and/or exceed their expectations.
• Promotes resident satisfaction and retention by responding to complaints, questions, and requests in a timely manner.
• Meets targeted revenues by setting rent rates, collecting payments, and reviewing monthly financial status reports.
• Oversees lease enforcement and renewal processes, including inspections and notices.
• Controls expenditures by managing budget and petty cash.
• Promotes client satisfaction through timely reporting and updates to owners.
• Leads hiring, training, and performance management for the on-site team.
• Conducts pricing reviews to meet market and ownership goals.
• Maintains compliance with company standards and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Conducts regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and appearance.
