Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Help Desk Technician IV in Annapolis Junction, MD to support enterprise IT operations. You will respond to user inquiries, log tickets, diagnose basic hardware/software issues, and mentor junior staff as needed.

The role requires TS/SCI w/Poly clearance, at least an Associate degree, 5+ years of related experience, CompTIA Security+ within 3 months, and a Monday–Friday 6am–2pm shift. Onsite work location in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Associates of Arts/Associates of Science required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required within 3 months.
• TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
• Log and track support requests using help desk ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Provide step-by-step guidance to users for troubleshooting common problems.
• Escalate complex issues to second-level support or specialized teams when necessary.
