City of San Antonio seeks a lead heavy equipment operator to excavate, load, transfer, or move dirt and other material for parks, streets, and public properties. Work is outdoors on construction sites with exposure to heat, dust, noise, and traffic.

You will supervise assigned crews, conduct equipment inspections, prepare reports, train staff, and ensure safety standards. A Class A CDL with endorsements and at least three years of experience operating light to heavy equipment are required.

Formación

• Reading and writing proficiency required for reports and logs.
• Three years of experience operating light to heavy equipment.
• Must possess a Class A CDL with endorsements.

Responsabilidades

• Operate cranes, graders, excavators, bulldozers, and other equipment.
• Direct subordinate employees and supervise crews in maintenance tasks.
• Perform inspections and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare reports, work orders, and maintain logs and time sheets.
• Train employees in the proper use of equipment.
• Ensure safety standards are observed and PPE is worn.
• Transport tools and equipment to job sites and assist with stock management.
