Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, including three years in a lead role.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.

Aufgaben

• Interviews, selects, supervises, develops, and counsels personnel according to CITY policies.
• Plans and prioritizes, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff involved in repair of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the service center and adherence to safety procedures.
• Monitors and coordinates with vendors to ensure contract compliance and completion of repairs.
• Instructs staff in new or complex heavy equipment repair techniques.
• Directs operations and evaluates activities, proposing service improvements.
• Keeps apprised of repair techniques to minimize downtime.
• Researches methods to improve service and establish standard repair schedules.
• Builds relationships with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure customer service.
• Receives and inspects new vehicles and equipment; arranges parts and tools as needed.
• Performs related duties as required.
