Job summary

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic supports TACOM (ANAD) operations under a contingency contract with KBR. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment and tactical vehicles, focusing on engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related components to sustain equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, rebuilding major systems, and tests per Army manuals, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assigned to a combat vehicular repair segment; performs rebuild/repair of major systems such as engines, transmissions, or fuel/electrical.
• Connects transmissions and engines to form power packs; conducts tests and checks power pack/governed systems.
• Disassembles, inspects, and reassembles components; performs external repairs to power pack assemblies.
• Performs pre-shop analysis of turbine engines; diagnoses defects and determines extent of repairs.
