Job summary

KBR, Inc seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of Army combat vehicles under the TACOM (ANAD) program. You will troubleshoot engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems, ensuring readiness and safety in accordance with Army manuals.

The role involves disassembly, rebuilding power packs, testing, and documenting work, with emphasis on safety and compliance. On-site with potential shifts/overtime; prior DoD or TACOM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3–5 years of heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance experience in military, industrial, or commercial environments.
• Thorough knowledge of diesel, multi-fuel, and turbine engines, transmissions, electrical and fuel systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete rebuild/repair of major systems (engines, transmissions, etc.).
• Disassemble/assemble power packs; install and adjust accessories.
• Conduct tests and adjusts to meet performance specs; perform ground hop tests.
