Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Contingency) to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tactical and support vehicles under TACOM operations.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicle readiness in a demanding DoD environment. The position requires the ability to disassemble/rebuild systems, operate power packs, and work with various engine/transmission configurations in a dynamic field setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training/experience.
• Proficient in mechanical practices and using Technical Manuals for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of tactical and support vehicles.
• Rebuild/repair one major system of combat vehicles (engines, transmissions, fuel/electrical).
• Connect transmissions and engines to form power packs; conduct tests.
• Perform pre-shop analysis of turbine engines and determine extent of repairs.
