Harnish Group Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska is seeking a Field Technician - Resident (Maintenance) to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.

You will work in our Service Department supporting Caterpillar equipment. The position requires mining experience on haul trucks, dozers and loaders, a high school degree or equivalent, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of 2-4 year vocational/technical school or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license required where used for forklift driving and operation of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including removing, repairing, assembling and installing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with CAT diagnostic equipment and CAT tooling.
• Plan and organize to control job costs.
• Investigate and identify problems to provide solutions.
