Harnish Group Inc. is seeking Heavy Equipment Field Technicians for our Anchorage, Alaska Branch in the Service Department. The role offers a salary range of $58.25-$62.25 per hour, with hourly pay based on skills and experience.

Qualified candidates will have mining experience on haul trucks, dozers and loaders, be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook), and hold a valid driver’s license. CAT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2–4 year vocational/technical school training acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license required for potential forklift driving and operation equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Ability to stand up to eight hours per day with twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling.
• Flexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including removal, repair, assembly and installation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Use CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment.
• Plan and organize work to control job costs.
• Investigate, analyze and identify problems to make recommendations for eliminating the problem.
