Job summary

HOLT CAT in Tyler, Texas is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform on-site repairs on heavy equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC and electrical systems. The role requires valid CDL Class B, a clean driving record, and willingness to work overtime Monday through Friday 7am–5pm.

You will diagnose malfunctions, remove and install parts, test repairs, and document work orders while maintaining safe practices and customer relations.

Qualifications

• More than two years of heavy construction equipment experience required; three or more years preferred.
• Diesel Technology schooling preferred.
• MSHA certification preferred.
• Air conditioning certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and plan corrective actions.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and reassemble components.
• Test, adjust, and verify proper operation of repairs.
• Prepare service reports, order parts, and maintain customer records.
