Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, refuse bodies, and air brake systems. The role involves diagnosing multi-system issues, servicing engines, HVAC, and aftertreatment systems, with training opportunities and a clear path for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect and repair various heavy truck systems with minimal supervision where required.
• CDL-B or higher is a plus; LNG/CNG experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chassis components and refuse bodies, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Repair diesel engines and perform diagnostics on engine and fuel systems.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
• Understand Aftertreatment systems and diagnostics; service air brake systems and HVAC components.
• Complete company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.
