Torrance Unified School District is seeking a journey-level automotive technician to repair and maintain district buses, trucks, and other diesel or alternative fuel vehicles (CNG, electric). You will inspect electrical, braking, transmission, and cooling systems and perform replacements as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with coursework in gas/diesel engines and experience with large equipment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in gas/diesel engine technology.
• Experience repairing large automotive equipment including diesel buses is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, braking, transmission, differential and cooling systems is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Perform journey-level mechanical repair and maintenance on district buses, trucks and other diesel or alternative fuel vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with CHP safety and operation requirements.
