Job summary

Pasadena Independent School District is seeking a Master Transportation technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain the district's gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose engine issues and ensure safety standards across the Transportation Department.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CDL-Class A with P and S endorsements, ASE/TASBT certification preferred, and the ability to obtain state school bus

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; some college/technical preferred.
• ASE/TASBT Certification preferred for automotive repair.
• Valid Texas CDL-Class A with P and S endorsements.
• Capability to obtain and maintain state school bus certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and overhauls on vehicle systems within qualification level.
• Gas/diesel diagnostics and preventive maintenance per program.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and comply with shop rules.
• Keep CDL and Bus Driver Certification up to date.
• Assist others and substitute as needed; ensure high quality repairs.
