Job summary

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to direct field personnel, oversee safety practices, and coordinate on-site earthmoving activities across Arizona.

The role requires running grading projects, training operators, and delivering projects on time while maintaining high safety and quality standards. We value internal promotion and provide in-house training, a company vehicle, health benefits, a 401k plan, ESOP, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in grading and earthwork construction.
• Previous supervision experience.
• Ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest.
• Able to coordinate on-site earthmoving equipment (scrapers, excavators, dozers)
• Identify obstacles and provide solutions.
• Track daily quantities, CY of material moved, etc.
• Able to train and evaluate new operators.
• Read and interpret plan sets and soil reports and project specifications.
• Dust Control requirements and best practices.
• Willing to travel throughout AZ, including possible long-term project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Direct field personnel and manage on-site activities to meet project goals.
• Maintain safety practices and enforce compliance on site.
• Coordinate load out, grading operations, and earthmoving equipment.
• Communicate with project management to track progress and issues.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within specs.
