Rummel Construction, Inc. seeks an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent to direct field personnel, enforce safety practices, and coordinate on-site activities.

The ideal candidate will have run heavy equipment on grading projects, trained others, and delivered projects on time across Arizona. We support growth from within, provide in-house training, and offer a strong benefits package including health coverage and retirement options.

HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent. This position is responsible for directing field personnel, administering good construction safety practices, and communicating effectively with all on-site activities. We are looking for someone who has run heavy equipment on grading projects, trained others and delivered projects on time. This role will support most projects throughout Arizona.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years experience in grading and earthwork construction, previous supervision experience, and the ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest United States.
• Able to communicate and coordinate on-site earthmoving equipment (scrapers, excavators, dozers, etc.)
• Identify obstacles and provide solutions
• Track daily quantities, CY of material moved, etc.
• Able to train and evaluate new operators
• Able to communicate with project management staff
• Cut/fill earthwork operations on residential projects
• Reading and interpreting plan sets
• Reading and understanding soil reports and project specifications
• Dust Control requirements and best practices
• Must be willing to travel throughout AZ, including possible long-term project assignments

This is a safety-sensitive position which requires operating company equipment and as such, you should be able to pass an MVR (clean driving record), drug screen, be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs, sit, stand, kneel, walk in rough, uneven terrain and work in all weather conditions.

This position is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug test.
