Job summary

B&S Site Development is seeking a Heavy Civil Foreman to lead on-site operations for large civil projects in the Manassas area. You will coordinate field crews, enforce safety, and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications on time and within scope.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in underground utilities with leadership exposure, strong blueprint reading skills, and a track record of safe, efficient execution in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underground utility experience, with 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of utility installation methods and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and site layout.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and varied weather.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crew activities on-site.
• Oversee installation of storm, water, and sanitary sewer systems.
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation.
• Lead by example and enforce safety protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring crew members.
