Job summary

B&S Site Development seeks a Heavy Civil Foreman to lead on-site operations for time-sensitive civil projects in Charlottesville, VA. You will coordinate field crews, ensure work aligns with plans and safety standards, and act as the primary liaison with project managers.

The role requires 3+ years of underground utility experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and demonstrated leadership and communication abilities. OSHA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underground utility experience, with 1+ year in a leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and site layout.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crew activities on-site.
• Oversee installation of storm, water, and sanitary sewer systems.
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation.
• Lead by example and enforce safety protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring crew members.
