Job summary

B&S Site Development, a leader in heavy civil site development, seeks a Heavy Civil Foreman to oversee on-site operations at critical civil projects in Virginia. You will supervise crews, ensure safety, and align work with project plans.

The role requires leadership, blueprints literacy, problem‑solving, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underground utility experience with 1+ year in a leadership role preferred.
• Strong understanding of utility installation methods and safety requirements.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utility installation, and site layout.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate crew activities on-site.
• Oversee installation of storm, water, and sanitary sewer systems.
• Ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and site documentation.
• Lead by example and enforce safety protocols.
• Assist with training and mentoring crew members.
